Lisa is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist. She is the founder of Protea Counselling and brings 30 years of experience supporting clients of all ages. As a single mother of four grown children, she carries a wealth of life experience that enriches her work and deepens her empathy. A creative spirit, Lisa enjoys painting, home renovations, watching hockey, gardening, and traveling whenever time allows. She is known for her easy-going, straightforward style and often adds a gentle touch of humour to her sessions. You might also meet Kira, Lisa’s Pomeranian—because who couldn’t use a tiny, fluffy emotional-support assistant?

Jennifer is a dedicated wife, mother, and seasoned social worker with over 30 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges. She has extensive expertise in grief, trauma, anxiety, and everyday stressors, and brings a compassionate, grounded presence to her work.
Personable, down-to-earth, and open-minded, Jennifer welcomes conversations about dreams, spirituality, and personal beliefs, creating a space where clients can explore all aspects of their well-being. She works with youth from the age of 14....right through to 114.
Jenni, as she prefers to be called, is also a proud dog-lover who adores her three little pups. She offers flexible scheduling and may have availability on weekends in addition to her evening appointments.

Michelle is in a committed relationship and a devoted dog mom to Jimothy. She brings extensive knowledge and experience in substance use, misuse, and abuse, the justice system, and anger-related concerns. In her addictions work, Michelle meets clients exactly where they are, using the stages of change as a compassionate and practical framework for support.
She is easy to talk to, non-judgmental, and works with both youth and adults, including individuals within the LGBTQ+ community.
Michelle is available for in-person appointments on Sundays only. While her current caseload is full, clients are welcome to join her short waitlist, which typically moves within a few weeks.

Dana Frigon is a Child and Youth Counsellor and Registered Social Worker with 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families across a wide range of ages and life circumstances. Her practice is rooted in compassion and a deep respect for each person’s unique story.
As a mother to two teen daughters, Dana understands the importance of nurturing the whole person supporting emotional wellbeing and healthy development.
Dana shares a profound connection with nature and animals, gardening, working with medicinal flowers drawing inspiration from the natural world’s wisdom and cycles. An adventurer at heart, she remains connected to her inner child, embracing therapeutic play, creativity and exploration as essential elements of the support she provides to children and youth.
